Vip Soni M.D. is a compassionate doctor and a board-certified dermatologist who prides himself on treating every patient like a VIP and providing patients with the highest level of care. He firmly believes in spending the time necessary to empower patients with an understanding of their diagnoses as well as treatment options that can achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Soni is an Orange County local. After graduating valedictorian from Corona del Mar High School, Dr. Soni moved to the bay area to earn his bachelor of science in biology & graduate with honors from Stanford University. He then moved to Los Angeles where he attended and graduated with honors from the UCLA School of Medicine. Staying in LA, Dr. Soni served as chief resident during his dermatology training at the University of Southern California (USC). After his training in LA, Dr. Soni finally returned home to set up practice in Orange County.
An expert in general and surgical dermatology (including Mohs micrographic surgery), Dr. Soni has helped numerous patients suffering from various skin problems such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and allergic skin rashes. Dr. Soni prides himself on his painless (or almost painless) surgical removal of skin growths such as cysts, moles, and skin cancers. When it comes to the management of skin cancers, Dr. Soni is a firm believer of early detection by means of routine, thorough skin exams with digital photography and dermoscopy. An artist both in and out of the office, Dr. Soni uses his artistic eye both a) to maximize the cosmetic outcome of reconstructive surgery after skin cancer removal and b) to help patients achieve a more youthful, healthy look.
Dr. Soni is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the Orange County Dermatology Society.
Outside the office, Dr. Soni enjoys his time with his wife and 3 children. He loves to play live music, practices yoga, enjoys biking and hiking in nature, and makes it a point to travel to new places every year.
